KONTORNIK planetary gear

The KPG25, as used on KIRA drives, is also available as an accessory and can be mounted on all motors with a 3.17 mm shaft, using an adaptation flange.

The KPG25 is maintenance-free and available with the gear ratio 5.2:1. The KPG25 gear box includes the planets with needle bearing, the oil filling and the motor pinion. The motor pinion has to be glued to he motor with a Loctide adhesive (e.g. 648). The adhesive can be dissolved by administering heat, for instance, when needing to change the gear ratio.

Of course, the needle-mounted planets are included in delivery and the gear box is already lubricated.

The fitting adaptation flange must be ordered separately, whenever a direct drive is changed to a geared one.
