A short review by our test pilot Joe Yap

“This is my feedback after the short flight yesterday. Having flown scale gliders for many years, this was a big change for me. After the launch, I immediately felt that I was flying a real floater that tracks like an arrow. Roll response is fantastic even at lower airspeeds and no rudder coupling. I don’t even need to dive a lot for speed to do a full aileron roll. A little rudder input is sufficient to cooridinate turns. Elevator input is also very crisp even at near stall. A shallow dive is sufficient to start a loop. During stall test, there’s a little tendency to drop a wing, but the model will not snap roll. The second the wing and nose drops a little, the wing seems to recover very quickly and ailerons remains quite effective. No plane falling out of sky and heart attacks. Unfortunately, the accident shortened my flight test. However, I remember I was still looping and zooming away until I noticed the creased RH wing’s LE. I didn’t even notice any effect!

This is the next interesting part. With a totally new transmitter and model glider to me, I lined it up for the final approach for landing. The model tracked like an arrow towards the ‘landing bushes’, while I gradually dial in the crow mixing. It simply spot landed without the need for second pass.

My conclusion? Feels like a pattern plane without power, floats like an Easyglider. While not being super fast, the floatiness suggests the capacity to be ballasted.”
