Research area
Aulia Yeru's artistic endeavours are rooted in the confluence of artistic practice, environmental transformation, and spatial production. Within his doctoral pursuits, he delves into the realm of "hydrosocially engaged art," an approach that strives to illuminate and shape the interplay between the materiality of water and the ever-evolving social dynamics within waterways.
Aulia's focus on this research project is the Cikapundung River in Bandung, Indonesia. This waterway serves as the canvas, laboratory, and participant for exploring the hydrosocial process, where he seeks to unravel the multifaceted connections between water and society.
