Radiochemistry Laboratory

Who we are
The Radiochemistry Lab offers access to radiochemical synthesis and characterisation equipment including automated synthesis modules and high-performance liquid chromatography systems (radio-HPLC). We support novel radiochemistry, radiotracer development and supply of PET radiotracers for preclinical research.
The radiotracers and radiopharmaceuticals synthesised in the facility are typically used in medical imaging techniques such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) and for therapeutic applications (Theranostics). The facility is designed to protect users from ionising radiation with specialised radioprotection equipment, including lead shielded workspaces and enclosures.
