Description

The MILabs U-CT installed in 2019 has vastly improved scan times and therefore reducing x-ray dose. Image reconstruction times are also improved compared to with older model micro-CT scanners, and the option of dual energy x-ray improves visualisation of contrast agents and tissue in dynamic contrast enhanced imaging. The system allows for samples/subjects up to rabbit size with the flexibility of balancing field of view and resolution with acquisition times. Five second total body scans are possible in mice. The U-CT has integrated anaesthetics, ECG and respiratory monitoring and/or gating, along with body temperature support. Resolution of 15碌m are achievable in ex vivo samples.
