
Dr Nathaniel Corrigan

Dr Nathaniel (Nat) Corrigan is a ARC DECRA fellow working in the Cluster for Advanced Macromolecular Design (CAMD) and the Australian Centre for Nanomedicine (ACN) in the School of Chemical Engineering at 国民彩票. His research focuses on the use of light in macromolecular synthesis, with a particular focus on new methods for polymer synthesis. Dr. Corrigan has expertise in flow mediated photochemical reactions, reaction design for photopolymerization, and controlling polymer molecular weight distributions, and has also pioneered the application of reversible deactivation radical polymerization to 3D printing, via the use of ultra-fast PET-RAFT polymerization and other ultra-fast photoinduced 3D printing processes. These processes enable the production of advanced macromolecular materials via more streamlined and highly accessible approaches.

In 2020, I was recognized as a finalist of the prestigious Reaxys PhD prize for the best PhD thesis in the Chemical Sciences globally.
I am coauthor of >60 peer reviewed publications in leading high-impact journals in chemistry, chemical engineering, and polymer and materials science. His research focuses on the use of visible light for advanced manufacturing of polymeric materials, through flow-controlled systems and 3D printing.
