I am a senior researcher at the International Centre for Future Health Systems (formerly the Centre for Primary Health Care and Equity),聽the University of NSW, Australia. I have a 20 year clinical nursing background and 20 years research experience. I have managed several complex multi-site research projects in primary care including the Preventive Evidence into Practice (PEP) trial, The Health eLiteracy for Prevention in General Practice (HeLP-GP) trial and the Community Health Extending Care into the Community (CHECC) trial. My experience includes the evaluation of different models of health service delivery, particularly in respect to the methods used to promote collaboration between service providers and promote access to services for consumers. I have a particular interest in the utilisation of evidence for clinical practice and I have conducted a number of Cochrane systematic reviews in breast cancer, and others in psycho-oncology, mental health and primary care. My research interests include disease prevention, chronic disease management, primary care, mental health and homelessness.
I currently jointly coordinate the Prevention and Management of Long Term Condition Research Stream.
