Work Integrated Learning (WIL) enables students to develop work readiness skills that meet industry standards, enhancing their employability. This approach supports the Progress for All strategy, which reflects 国民彩票鈥檚 commitment to multidisciplinary solutions to address societal challenges in Australia and globally.

WIL activities may include:

  • Placements (including internships and clinical placements) where students perform course-related work while embedded within a partner organisation.
  • Projects where students deliver specific outcomes for a partner organisation which acts as聽 a mentor and/or client throughout the activity.

Where and how WIL takes place

  • on or off campus, either face-to-face or online
  • office-based, clinical, or field-work聽 settings
  • paid or unpaid.

Through WIL, students build critical skills for workplace success, gain exposure to professional environments, and develop networks that support their future careers.

Governance of WIL

At 国民彩票, WIL is offered within an academic framework as part of coursework programs and courses, designed on the principle that聽students apply their learning in a practical work environment in partnership with an external organisation.

  • maintain high quality and effectively manage risks to students, 国民彩票 and partner organisations

WIL Central works with key university stakeholders to provide expert advice and support to students, staff, and partner organisations. It ensures compliance with聽the 国民彩票 Work Integrated Learning Procedure, relevant policies and government legislation and regulations.
