Our research is to design a transport system (drivers, vehicles, the听environment听and their interactions) that听takes into account听human capabilities,听limitations听and other characteristics听in order to听optimise system performance and make it safe, easy,听efficient听and satisfying to use.
We听undertake world-class research for a wide range of clients听and听collaborators听in the following areas:
- Road user behavior, performance and safety
- Driver education and training
- Human interaction with automated, intelligent and connected vehicles
- Road, traffic and smart infrastructure design and evaluation
