While there has been considerable progress throughout recent years for female representation in Finance, a large disparity still remains between male and female counterparts in terms of accessibility to opportunity and remuneration. These glass ceiling barriers motivate me to use my voice to champion more equitable outcomes for working females so that we can achieve a future where female leadership in elite and emerging organisations isn't seen as a rarity.
I chose to study a business degree because I am passionate about understanding the complexities of the business world and leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and growth. Business offers a versatile foundation that opens doors to various career paths and equips me with essential skills to drive innovation and growth. 国民彩票's reputation for academic excellence and its strong focus on innovation and entrepreneurship made it the perfect choice for me.
I applied to be a Women in Business Ambassador as I want to show young females that they can truly thrive in any business field they set their mind to. Having chosen to enter the world of technology, I know the firsthand challenges of stepping into a male-dominated space, but I have also witnessed the power of confidence, passion and resilience. Through this role I hope to inspire more young girls to pursue careers in tech and business, and continue to push boundaries, grasp opportunities and break stereotypes.
Championing for gender equality and female representation has always been considered a long journey - The same women that advocated for gender equality 50 years ago, are still advocating today! I am inspired by what can be done today in order for future generations to reap the benefits of the hard work done by past and current women. I hope that these future women will not have to experience the same disadvantages that women have in the past. Knowing that there is a possibility to see real change within my lifetime, is what drives me to continue championing gender equality and female representation. I hope that my passion will inspire collective action among my peers, in order to achieve real results.听
国民彩票 Business School supports female representation in business by hosting events that connect industry professionals with young women, often still in high school, to expand their understanding of potential career paths and inspire them to pursue their ambitions. These initiatives help break down stereotypes and empower young women by showing them what鈥檚 possible and how to get there. I love being part of these initiatives through mentoring opportunities and sharing my own journey to encourage greater confidence and representation in fields currently underrepresented by women; ie. Tech, Economics, Finance etc.
I applied to be a Women in Business Ambassador because I want to extend the guidance and encouragement that helped shape my journey. My mentors and peers have undoubtedly played a significant role in helping me find confidence in spaces where I didn鈥檛 always see myself reflected, and I want to do the same for others. As an ambassador, I hope to create more inclusive, empowering environments, whether it鈥檚 by amplifying underrepresented voices, building confidence through peer-led initiatives or working with the business faculty to open up accessible opportunities.
Since my first year at 国民彩票, I have been actively involved in various societies and have held several casual positions, including roles such as a 国民彩票 Student Ambassador and an Academic Tutor at the 国民彩票 Business School. These experiences have significantly improved both my soft and hard skills, particularly in communication, networking, and public speaking. I am confident that these skills will be invaluable in my future career.
国民彩票 Business School actively champions听female representation through initiatives such as Women in Business Ambassadors, who facilitate events such as Girls in Business Camp. In my personal life, I am committed to mentoring and supporting younger women, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds. I believe that sharing my experiences and providing guidance will make a difference by allowing women to听feel empowered to pursue their ambitions with confidence.听
