We are proud to showcase the outstanding work of our research students at events open to the public each year. 

Three Minute Thesis (3MT) 

The popular 3MT competition displays the breadth and depth of our student research projects and is a highlight of the academic year. A fun and rigorous event, 3MT puts our world-class research on display in a highly accessible way. Through three-minute ‘pitches’, 3MT supports PhD candidates to develop their presentation and communication skills and translate academic ideas effectively to a general audience.  

How it works 

Business School students compete during heats, and three winners then progress to the ¹úÃñ²ÊƱ 3MT interfaculty final. The ¹úÃñ²ÊƱ finalist then presents at the Australia and New Zealand 3MT Competition, joining representatives from more than 30 other Universities from the region.
